This is the first and most important step in our process. We sit with the client and immerse ourselves in their product’s requirements, history, and usage. The BTU, short for Business, Technology, and User points, allows us to quickly understand the product and where it fits in the market.

This phase consists of:

  • BTU with client
  • Assimilation into clients workflow
  • Initial Research (ergonomic, demographic, architecture, competition, qualitative/ quantitative studies, focus groups etc)
  • Initial and Refined Design Sketches
  • Mechanical Consult
  • Material/Color studies
  • Final Sketches/Design Direction
