SUMMARY

Point Innovation was asked to create concepts for a drill bit container for Halliburton. The container had to fit several sizes of drill bits without additional parts. The solution was to create a drill bit container that could be screwed up or down to the appropriate drill bit height.

User Interaction

After re-evaluating the entire seat structure, three main changes were creatively implemented in order to reduce the weight:
– Hydra-lock redesign
– Innovative seat suspension system
– New, lighter, and stronger materials

Protection

Seat frame structure was designed to have common parts across multiple platforms. This created more living space for the passengers, and also resulted in big savings when undergoing certification.

Storage and Charging

Implementation of weight reducing and common part features created extra room for IFE package, and enabled our team to come up with a very efficient wire management system.
